i recently started hostessing at a bar/grille. Customers buy pool tables from me and if they tip me i get to keep it. Well yesterday a man purchased a pool table and then also ate and drank at it. The server who was taking care of him was named Jen. Well it ended up being that she was busy or distracted by someone else when he returned his pool balls and cue stick to me. It cost him $14.00 for a game of pool, which was a completely different transaction from his meal check. Well he tipped me $6 when he paid for his pool table. Then Jen comes up to me complaining that he didn’t pay for his beer and asked if he tipped me. I said yes he tipped me $6 for the pool table. She said that MUST have been for the beer he skipped out on, but why would he pay for a beer with the tip from his pool table. Anyway, she told me to give her the tip which i did. Later, i told my manager about it and he gave me the tip back and said it was mine. I feel like she is really mad at me what should i do? Should i have let her just keep it? Should i say anything to her?

this is me playing two racks on my mini pool table.

The biggest challenge to adjust to might be the strategies between the games. As far as shotmaking and position play go, it’s similar in both games. Even billiard players think about where all the balls will be at the end of their shot. Once they get adjusted to the speed of the table and the size and weight of the balls, it’s all pretty much the same game. Check out the link below and the rest of the series to see a 9 ball and 3 cushion match between Torbjorn Blohmdahl and Efren Reyes.

He runs agility (just in training 1x week), Soccer on grass/concrete 2x daily and frisbee (on grass) and he swims daily, he wears down his nails till they bleed and/or splits the nails, the agility obstacles (like the table) have a rough texture and he digs in on his toes. I have had to wash the contacts at training sometimes for the blood spots and around the pool as he runs around and jumps in… He doesn’t seem to care he is so driven.
After a $250 at the vet this time for two split nails, this one I couldn’t get the bleeding to stop and it was very bloody…I am thinking boots for Agility but don’t see others in trials with this…how are others dealing with this? His nails are very very short, I couldn’t think of trying to go even shorter…any suggestions on the best booties or ???
and I live in a warm climate so breathable booties?

Hey there!
Just wanting to know is there a signiffican differance between stick on and screw on tips. Does their performance vairy and is one better than the other?
Thanks CD
