Part of the fun is planning with my children! But I'm sure some very busy or lazy parents would like that.

I am ridiculously cheap, so I personally would not pay that.
Also, my main objective when I start planning a party is finding a venue outside our house... the biggest stress for me is getting the house clean. I enjoy the planning and food, so I wouldn't pay for that part of it.
That said, in looking for venues to have my daughter's party, I have come across a lot of services such as the one you describe and I've been shocked by how much they charge.
I definitely think there's a market and also that the rates you mention are probably reasonable. You may want to vary them depending on food options and the amount of time the party lasts (i agree with another poster that your timing sounds long for a younger child's party).
Maybe do a base number for your planning services and do the other stuff as add ons (cake, food, $x for each child over so many, etc).

I think I would pay that. I myself am more of a 'do it yourself-er' but if I were to hire someone to throw the party I think that would be reasonable. You may also want to put a child limit on that $300 (say 10? kids) otherwise the parties might get outta hand for you to control and parents will likely not help out too much because its 'all inclusive'. Also, maybe consider doing a cheaper rate for parties that are held monday-fridays. I'm sure you'll find your weekend book up quickly and if parents have kids that arn't in school (and guests that arn't in school either) they may be willing to have their party during the week if its cheaper. good luck, great idea!

I think you would need to separate the themed party items from your fee as some things are cheaper than others.
You can buy wholesale if you get a simple vendors license and tax ID number. You can then charge the going rate (which is usually 100% of the cost you pay for the item) and make money on the party ideas as well as the gift bags. Then charge at least $75.00 per hour. You will be putting much more time into the planning of the party than the actual party so the fee is fair. Charge your fee (75per hour) PLUS the cost of any party supplies.
I think it is a great idea and I know MANY moms who would use your service. Good luck.

I think the time is too long, especially for smaller kids. Parties should be 1.5 to 2 hours long, that is enough time. Otherwise problem start happening.
I am in UK and would probably pay £150 for this ( 2 hours) if it included party bags/goft also. Not sure what that is in dollars
