Call him Mini-sota Fats. An upstate New York two-year-old is being dubbed a billiards prodigy by dazzling crowds across the country with his pool playing prowess. Keith O’Dell Jr. of Johnstown was invited to perform at the American Pool Association’s championship competition in Las Vegas last month, and he’s booked to show his skills on the Rachael Ray show in July. Bought an old Brunswick table from the local pool hall (Sal Butera Billiards in Moorpark, CA) they are updating to Diamond 9 footers and had about a dozen of these to sell. Sean Lane delivered and set it up and put on brand new Simonis 860 tournament blue cloth and shimmed up the pockets. Here are pictures of the how to process of installing a full size pool table with three slates. The pool table is exactly seven feet two inches away from my computer desk – I’m the luckiest guy in the world …

Apocalypse
Like a snail on a razors edge, I too hear this call,
Is my life a subtle thing, at least until the snail falls.
Colors leaping, lions sleeping, tide is rolling in,
Is my life preordained and is it the original sin?
A razor makes precision cuts, knocking at my door,
Ignoring it I prepare a slit, I watch the blood it pours.
Pooling on the table, droplets fall here and there,
The carpet soaks it up so nice, I haven’t got a care.
Self inflicted pain is slow, so slow it seems time stops,
Paraffin and safety pins, join the pleasure as I drop.
My heart starts beating slowly, my vision comes and goes,
A few more cuts, the telephone rings, everything is slow.
My ears they start to ringing, like a crack hit held too long,
My pulse gets more irregular, Debbie Gibson sings a song.
The time I have is getting short, my death it will prevail,
People running round the house, my ships begun to sail.
