		<description>In a pinch you can use a dollar bill....just rub it up and down the shaft 10 or 15 times, should be much smoother afterwards! 

Or some realyl fine grain sandpaper rubbed 5 or 6 times....should leave it nice and smooth&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;References : &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>

I always chalk the shaft frequently during play and tournaments.
Slight abrasive from the chalk should keep clean and silky smooth.
Cleaning agents will leave an oily residue, possibly causing miscue.
