I saw something on TV a little bit ago, and I’m really wanting to know what on earth it was, because I really liked it..
It had to do with pool or something, billiards like, but what happened was… The referree would move his hand over the pool table, and tell the contestants to do certain things, such as ‘cue ball must hit such and such ball, bank off the far wall, curve around this obstacle, and pot this ball over here.’
And.. Miraculously they do it. I really want to see it, and show some people, but I cannot find it annoyingly.. I believe I watched it on a foreign channel, euro sports or something in case it helps.
You were probably watching Trick Shot Magic or World Cup of Trick Shots, both made-for-TV events by ESPN. They’re not easily available anywhere, but I have seen a couple random clips around the internet. In the meantime, you can check out my website for some other great trick shots.

Does anyone know any links where I can watch tough pool or tricky shots get made. Not trick shots but tough shots that one may come upon in
I don't know if there's any place that specializes in them, but there are some scattered highlights on site's like youtube. I did see an Efren Reyes compilation once, but still, a lot of those shots don't come up all that often. Any details on what kind of shot you're looking for in particular?
One "trick shot" that has helped me in games has been the Two Rail Reverse and there have been others. I guess the biggest things trick shots have done for me is being able to find combinations and caroms in packs, particularly when playing straight pool or one pocket.

Right now I'm using pool buddy: pool cheats. But after after 7 days, the only way to keep it is to buy it off the via internet. My mom refuses to buy ANYTHING on the web, even if it's secure! What can I do to upgrade my Yahoo! games pool rating and wins? I've tried the english, but sometimes it goes into places I don't want it, or I get blocked. Please help me! I'm in the 1100's rating and want atleast a rating of 1510!
Why cheat? Simply practice and learn how to play the game properly!
I don't use any aids and have a rating around the 1500 mark, and in all honesty players in the 1100s are terrible! Clearly all the cheating is not helping you at all.
With practice you will soon get the hang of making pots – that is the easy part. Then you need to learn how the white is going to move after it hits the ball depending on how you hit it. From there you can begin to learn how to ensure you always end up in position for another pot.
Keep your shot selection simple – only use spin when you absolutely have to for example – and learn to trust your own judgement. Most pots I miss occur when I have second thoughts and try to line it up better! If you are having to try and use "trick shots" then you are never going to win, and if you play someone who makes a series of "impossible" shots against you then you know they are cheating (just like you are) – generally those people are terrible at safety play, so I just snooker them and let them foul repeatedly until I win anyway lol
Some people also pick their opponents carefully, because when you play someone ranked lower than you you risk losing 20+ points if you lose, but maybe only gain 1 or 2 when you win.
But hey – it's just a game. Enjoy it, and don't let defeats spoil your enjoyment.

I was watching some pool trick shots and these people were putting so much spin on the ball and I was wondering how they did that so I could learn how to do that.
the shot is called masse and it is doooooooone by hitting th cue with an elevated cuestick so that the stoke of the tip contacts the cueball more from the top than from the curvature of the ball facing you It is somethng that requires a great deal of practice and is not looked upon kindly in most pool halls as torn felt results many times when people practice this shot get any good book on the "how to" of pool and look up masse'
just work on it and see what happens good luck it is fun when you can get them to gracefully curve around something on the table and help make your game better

i want to know how they do this without using the cushion i have seen this used in many trick shots please can anyone help
It's called a masse shot. You have to hit down on the cue ball with either left or right english. Hitting it off center causes it to squirt out the opposite way, and then the spin takes over causing it to curve back. It's just a matter of getting enough spin on the cue ball relative to it's forward speed.
For extreme masse's, your cue stick will almost be perpendicular to the table. You have to stroke pretty fast to get the spin on the cue ball. Ask the table owner's permission first because you could damage the cloth.

I am building a pool table out of barn lumber that has been planned. The coloring of the wood is much better than kiln dried. I am giving it a very elegant design and it will have small stone arrowheads embedded for the rail sights. I haven't finished yet. I was wondering what I should price it at?
I'd say maybe 50-75$$$$ but thats just my opinion!

This questions is for bar owners, managers, or someone who can give a good estimate . This number will vary because several factors, please just provide an average for the 7 days of the week. I am planning on opening a bar with some pool tables and I would like to know about how much I can profit from every table. Thanks.
If halfway active $120-$150 per table per week
Some more some less It really depends on if you promote them -Tourns or whatever-Some bars dont make squat they just let them set there

My three kids took white candles and wrote on the green felt of our pool table. How do I get it clean? Can I use a damp cloth or will I have to stare at the drawings for all time?
You might want to try a dry cloth on top of the wax area, and then iron over the area. The hot iron will melt the wax and the cloth will absorb most of the wax. If you don't get all the wax off the first time, redo it with a clean cloth. Use an old towel, as you will probably have to throw it away after you are done.
There are a lot of household cleaning agents that will remove any residue of the wax. Just read the labels to see if they clean up wax.

theres 3 of us trying to move our pool table from my brothers room, which is upstairs, to our trailor outside. its pretty heavy, and i am wondering if anybody has tips. thanks alot.
I own pool tables that are leased to bars and restaurants. Heres how I train my guys to do it. Take the bumpers off and remove the slate (one piece). If its a good table its one piece, if not remove all the slate. Then tip over to its side and remove the legs. Lift together and relocate. Replace all that was taken off and level. (good luck leveling in a trailer.)
Why a trailer… nevermind.
Good luck
